Everything you need to know about Wonder Woman 2
While the whole world waits for the reease of our beloed Amazon, here ate a couple of things I think you should know:
GAL GADOT IS BACK AS DIANA PRINCE IN WONDER WOMAN 2
Gal Gadot is reprising her role as Diana Prince in Wonder Woman 2. It’s her fourth time portraying the iconic Amazon since making her debut as the DC superhero in Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. She also played Wonder Woman in Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman and Snyder’s Justice League in 2017.
Although rumors suggested Gadot was considering dropping out of the sequel if producer Brett Ratner and his RatPac production company remained on board, she said that those discussions never went that far and that she always intended on returning for the sequel.
KRISTEN WIIG IS CHEETAH IN WONDER WOMAN 2
There was much discussion regarding who Wonder Woman 2‘s villain would be. Cheetah was the most likely option, and it’s been confirmed that’s what is happening. While several big name actresses like Sarah Paulson and Charlize Theron expressed interest in playing the antagonist, it was former Saturday Night Live standout Kristen Wiig who landed the part. Director Patty Jenkins made the announcement herself and is excited to work with the Oscar nominee.
Chris pine may or maynot be in the sequel:
Unfortunately, Steve Trevor is dead. And he died during WWI. So, it’s unlikely that Chris Pine will be returning for the sequel, but that doesn’t mean there still isn’t a chance for him to make a comeback. A number of possibilities allow for Steve to appear in the sequel, including the fact that audiences don’t actually see him die on-screen. Of course, it’s also possible for a descendant of Steve – one that perhaps looks uncannily like his father or grandfather – to appear the sequel, which could pave the way for Pine to return as well.
WONDER WOMAN 2 CASTS PEDRO PASCAL IN A KEY ROLE:
Wonder Woman 2 continues to round out its supporting cast ahead of production starting, and one of the biggest names to join the sequel is Pedro Pascal. The actor has a number of noteworthy credits to his name, including Game of Thrones and Narcos. His character hasn’t been revealed yet, but word is that he’ll be a key player in Wonder Woman 2.
WONDER WOMAN 2 IS SET DURING THE COLD WAR:
Patty Jenkins previously expressed interest in having Wonder Woman 2 take place in the present day, but Screen Rant exclusively confirmed in summer 2017 that the sequel will take place in the 1980s and see Wonder Woman taking on the Soviet Union during the final days of the Cold War. This will take Diana away from the front lines into the world of espionage. An official synopsis won’t be revealed until at least summer 2018.
HOW WONDER WOMAN 2 CONNECTS TO THE DCEU:
Wonder Woman 2 will be another standalone adventure with few connections to the overarching DCEU. In September 2017, DC Films co-chief Geoff Johns and DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson revealed that they are no longer interested in forcing DCEU movies to connect to each other anymore. Plus, the movie takes place in the 1980s, and there isn’t a way to connect the story to the rest of the Leaguers since they won’t be around until the present day.
PATTY JENKINS IS DIRECTING WONDER WOMAN 2:
Patty Jenkins is returning to direct Wonder Woman 2. And thanks to the overwhelming success of the first movie, she’s receiving a huge bump in her salary. Jenkins is now the highest-paid female director in Hollywood. It’s well-earned considering that she helmed the fifth biggest superhero movie of all-time at the domestic box office and paved the way for future female-led superhero films.
ZACK SNYDER IS STILL PRODUCING WONDER WOMAN 2:
Zack Snyder not only cast Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman but also directed her in her feature debut as the iconic superhero in Batman V Superman. But his involvement with the character didn’t stop there. He also developed Wonder Woman‘s story along with Patty Jenkins in addition to producing the film, a role which earned him a nomination for Best Picture at the PGA Awards. And despite having stepped away from directing duties, he hasn’t fully exited the DCEU yet. Snyder is still supposed to produce both Aquamanand Wonder Woman 2, although his role is likely “in name only,” due to his past involvement with the character. His creative influence on the DC Films universe moving forward will be minimal
And I think that's just about it folks. if you are just as enthusiastic as I am about seeing the sequel then sound it out in the comment box below
